Apple Retail Demos
The Apple In-Store Demos were designed to give the consumer a high-impact experience that is both engaging and informative. These demos combined motion graphics and an interactive experience to convey the important aspects of each product. The demo was created, optimized, and played back on it’s respective machine, in a retail environments.

The Attract Loop
To attract a consumers attention in the busy retail environment, the demo began with a full screen motion graphics loop that was designed to draw users into the demo. As the customer touched the product, the looping video would stop, and an interactive experience was revealed. The simple interaction model was designed to accomodate novice computer users and present an experience that was both inviting and informative
Transition Animations
The demo featured a series of transition movies that provided a spatial context to the navigation. When the user click on a topic, the graphic elements currently on screen slide off, and the new sections graphics slide on. This was one of the first applications of motion graphics in interactive media, and not only improved user interaction, but also provided eye-catching moments of delight
Apple Motion Graphics
During my time working with Apple, I created several iconic motion graphics animation for a variety of product needs. From the original Mac OSX welcome animation for the setup experience, to the original iTunes logo animation, to the Apple RSS screensaver — the goal was to express the brand essense through motio
