HTC Hero

HTC Hero was one of the very first Google Android mobile device. HTC Sense was a custom user experience built on top of Android OS. Sense pioneered new mobile experiences, and innovated beyond what was available from the underlying base OS experience.

One of the core principles of HTC Sense has always been personalization. Where other mobile experiences are locked down and inflexible, Sense allows users to customize their experiences to match their personalities and interests. From the look and feel of the experience, to the content displayed on the device — Sense allows users to truly make their devices personalized.

Pioneering a New Platform

HTC Sense was a custom user experience built on top of Google Android OS for HTC mobile devices.

Since its inception, HTC Sense has continually pioneered new mobile experiences beyond what was available from the underlying base OS experience.

One of the core principles of HTC Sense was personalization. Where other mobile experiences are locked down and inflexible, Sense allows users to customize their experiences to match their personalities and interests. From the look and feel of the experience, to the content displayed on the device — Sense allows users to truly make their devices personalized.

“The new Sense UI is the thing HTC is crowing about with the new Hero and for good reason too - it's brilliant.”

Introducing HTC Sense

HTC Sense featured a variety of customizable widgets that were designed to provide users with an unprecedented level of personalization. This UI design allowed the user to customize both the look & feel and content on the device. These personalized UI configurations could be saved and later recalled. For example, the user could save one layout for ‘work’ and another for ‘home’.
